Yes, that's allowed.

You do not have to audition for Studio ISH's classes. If you are 10 years old or older, it would be fun to audition. You can then experience whether the Young ISH and Junior ISH pathways are for you.

During the audition, various workshops will be given in the styles of what is taught in the classes and making process. Think hip-hop, house, popping, locking, wacking and urban contemporary.

No, it is nicer for everyone if there are only people present who participate in the audition. Only dancers are welcome in the studio on those days. However, your parents can of course bring and pick you up.

Bring your dance clothes (sweatpants, something you can dance well in), a water bottle for water and something to eat. We will provide fruit and biscuits for between workshops.

Yes, you can!

You can prepare a solo (1 minute) where we can see who you are and what your style is. How you do that is entirely up to you.

Young ISH consists of a 12-week course in which you create a piece with a creator/director based on various workshops and what you bring yourself.

Junior ISH is a one-year course (from September to April) in which you spend the first three months working on your dance skills. From January, you will start working with a choreographer to create a performance.

Studio ISH: pay what you can where you decide what you can pay.
Young ISH: €120 for 12 weeks / Discount with city pass and sport and culture fund.
Junior ISH: € 240 for 24 weeks / Discount with city pass and sport and culture fund.

We have payment arrangements and through the support of the ELJA foundation we can give scholarship to those who cannot afford it. If you have any questions for costs, please contact us at educatie@ishdancecollective.com.

The classes take place in our studio in Podium Lely. ISH Academy is located in Podium Lely, Schipluidenlaan 10. The location is a 3-minute walk from Lelylaan Station and is easily accessible by bicycle, car and public transport (train, metro, tram, bus). We share the location with Circus Lab Amsterdam.

Classes are divided as follows:
Studio ISH Group 6-9 years old - Wednesday 16.00-17.00 hours
Studio ISH Group 10-14 years - Wednesday 18.00-19.30 hours
Meervaart Young x ISH 9-12 years - Monday 6pm-7.30pm
Young ISH - 10-14 years - Saturday 10.00-13.00 hours
Young ISH - 14-18 years - Saturday 13.00-16.00 hours
Junior ISH - 14-18 years - Tuesday 18.30-21.00 (from 26 Sept) & Saturday 16.00-21.00 (from 14 Sept)
