Young ISH

What is Young ISH?

At Young ISH, you train every Saturday with a group of like-minded young talents. Together, you work towards a real performance — not only as a participant, but also as a creator. Guided by professional choreographers, you’ll develop your own movement language, discover what you want to express as a performer, and improve your skills every week through new masterclasses.

Young ISH is a program by ISH Academy in Amsterdam Nieuw-West for anyone who wants to grow further as a dancer and performer.

Are you ready for the next step and do you want to join Young ISH? New auditions will take place on December 12, 2026.

Practical Information | Season Sept – Dec 2026

• Age: 14+
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Start date: Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Het Talentenhuis, Amsterdam Nieuw-West
• No classes during the autumn holiday on Saturday, October 17, 2026
• Presentation day: Sunday, December 6, 2026
• Return day: Sunday, December 13, 2026
• Participation fee: €160 for 12 weeks
• Discounts available with Stadspas and the Sports & Culture Fund

*Payment plans are available. Thanks to the support of the ELJA Foundation, scholarships are available for participants who cannot afford the fee.

What Does a Training Day Look Like?

Every Saturday, you train from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The day consists of two blocks with a break in between.

• 10:00 – 12:30 | Creative Session
• 12:30 – 1:00 | Break
• 1:00 – 2:00 | Masterclass

Full Schedule

Classes take place on the following Saturdays:

• September: 5, 12, 19, 26
• October: 3, 10, 24, 31 (no class on October 17 — autumn holiday)
• November: 7, 14, 21, 28
• Presentation Day: Sunday, December 6, 2026
• Return Day: Sunday, December 13, 2026

Location

Classes take place in the makers studio at Het Talentenhuis, Meer en Vaart 290, 1068 LE Amsterdam. The location is a 3-minute walk from Osdorpplein Oost tram stop and is easily accessible by bike, car, and public transport.
