In What No One Had Expected, ISH takes you on a journey into the world that appears when you close your eyes. This dance performance gives shape to thoughts, dreams and figments of thought in a unique way. In a dazzling succession of dance, music and acting, we see four exceptional dancers and a stubborn actress do what no one could have expected. An adventure full of popping, modern dance and hiphop that will make being in the dark never feel the same again.

What Nobody Had Expected is a performance by Lara Wakelkamp in the series ISH New Makers. Dance collective ISH offers talented makers the opportunity to create a performance in the ISH tradition under the supervision of artistic director Marco Gerris and a personal coach. Previous performances in this series include The Gate, Fight Flow and GravitISH.
