Open Stage

We realize how important it is to be able to show who you are and what you can do, or to try something out in front of an audience to see if it works. During the Open Podium, ISH gives creators and performers the opportunity to present their own work, lasting up to 10 minutes, to an audience of friends, colleagues, and interested parties at De Sloot.

Our theatre space has basic amenities for light and sound so we can ensure that the evening looks and sounds brilliant. The atmosphere is informal, and the space will remain open after the presentations to chat and discuss.

The next Open Podium 21 November 2025. It's not possible to apply anymore.

Signing up for Open Podium

There is room for 6 to 8 participants per editite of Open Podium. A selection will be made among the applications based on the following criteria:

Dance styles that are in line with ISH's artistic profile
Diversity of the programme (solo/duets/group pieces...)
We prefer to give places to people who have not participated before

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to register for this edition.

Dates & deadlines

Fri, November 21, 2025 – registration deadline: October 24, 2025 (form is closed)
- Construction and assembly days: November 19 and 20
Sat, January 24, 2026 – registration deadline: December 15, 2025 (form open from November 1, 2025)
- Construction and assembly days:
Sat, April 18, 2026 – registration deadline: March 6, 2026 (form open from January 24, 2026)
- Construction and assembly days: April 16 and 17

*Please note: you must also be available on the rehearsal days immediately prior to the performance.

Who are we looking for?

Your work fits the ISH idealogy. Open Podium is expressly for the hip-hop community & urban sports theatre performers.
You have an existing piece of up to 10 minutes.
You are at least 16 years old.
You are available on for editing and performance.

What we offer

You will have the opportunity to perform for an audience at our location in Podium Lely.
Technical supervision on that day (lighting and sound).
Scene photo of your performance taken by a professional photographer.
A video recording of your performance that you may use for your own channels.
