Tyrone 'Tatsumaki' Menig

Tyrone 'Tatsumaki' Menig is an explosive mover and tricker who is skilled in various dance styles, including breaking and different hip-hop styles. Through Martial Arts Tricking, he defies gravity, combining it with dance at an exceptional level. This makes him the only performer in Dutch theatre to bring Martial Arts Tricking and dance together in this unique way. His work moves at the intersection of dance, Martial Arts Tricking and visual storytelling.

Tyrone has been performing with ISH Dance Collective since 2015, appearing in productions such as Narnia, GRIMM, Dorian, Knock-out and Rhythm & Flow. At the same time, he continues to build his own creative world. As co-founder of 128 Dance Studios, he teaches K-pop and develops and directs his own film and video projects, bringing together dance, acting, stunt work and cinematography.

Offstage, Harajuku fashion is not only a source of inspiration but also an important form of self-expression. He actively follows designers within the Japanese and Korean fashion scenes and explores fashion as an extension of his artistic identity.

In 2026, Tyrone won the VSCD Swan Award for Most Impressive Dance Performance for his role in A Fine Mess, a production by ISH Dance Collective, Jakop Ahlbom Company and DeLaMar. The jury praised his versatility as a breakdancer, his comedic talent and his spectacular combination of hip-hop, martial arts and theatre.
