Revelino Pinas

Revelino is a passionate musician and percussionist, born in the Netherlands and deeply connected to his Surinamese roots. His music is both a personal quest and a celebration: a return to the rhythms, stories, and spirituality that have shaped his identity. For him, music is a way to remember, connect, and give meaning to where he comes from.

His musical journey began with the percussion band Eternity, where he quickly emerged as an indispensable force within the ensemble. Through his dedication, musicality, and creative vision, he grew to become a musical director. Within Eternity, he also developed his own performance based on his personal quest for identity, in which cultural background and artistic expression come together seamlessly. In addition to his work with Eternity, he is a regular musician with Untold Empowerment.

Revelino finds inspiration in all styles of music, yet his specialization lies in Afro-Surinamese and African music, in which he plays various traditional drums, such as the djembe, dundun, and koti. In 2026, he will appear in Paramaribo Dreams as a percussionist.
