Lisa Groothof

Graduated from the mime programme in Amsterdam in 2011 and has been working as an actress and theatre maker ever since. With a physical, visual acting style, she has developed into a versatile performer. She has performed with leading companies such as Golden Palace, Maas theatre, Jakop Ahlbom, Beumer & Drost and Vis a Vis. Drawing on her strong personal signature, she founded her own companies, De Leedbewakers and Grote Mensen, with which she creates new, idiosyncratic work. Her performances are characterised by physical intensity, humour and emotion, and are praised for their imagination and expressiveness.
