Donna Chittick

Choreographer Donna Chittick (St.Maarten, 1986) started out as a dancer with Solid Ground Movement, and grew to become a facial core dancer and assistant choreographer for dance company BackBone. In 2016, Donna followed her first developmental path as a choreographer with Solid Ground Movement. She continued to develop as a maker and was invited by Korzo to create a performance for their young performers, Jong Korzo. Within the 2019 New Makers Scheme and under the guidance of BackBone, she created the diptych Together x ALPH. She also created the choreography for Cape Love, a co-production of BackBone and Raymi Sambo Makes. In 2023, Donna choreographed for So Far So Good, a co-production of the Wat We Doen foundation and Theater Rotterdam. In 2024, Donna was invited by ISH and National Ballet Junior Company to choreograph for their Next Steps programme. Her new BackBone performance, MIRRORS, is currently touring.
