ISH seeks talent | ISH Academy

Amsterdam-based dance company ISH Dance Collective is looking for enthusiastic talents aged 10-14 and 14-18 for the ISH Academy. From this academy, ISH inspires young people to make their (dance) dreams come true. On 22 and 23 June, they can audition at Het Talentenhuis in Amsterdam. The young people who are selected will receive lessons and guidance from ISH professionals and work towards a performance. You can apply until 16 June via the audition page.

With the ISH Academy, the Amsterdam dance company offers various opportunities to motivate and inspire (dance) talents to make their dreams come true. During the academy programmes, young people can discover where their talents lie, develop further in various Hiphop styles and gain stage experience. They are taught by renowned choreographers and ISH dancers such as Lars de Vors, Tyrone Menig and Noor Jayani.

Noor Jayani (22, Amsterdam) explains: ‘The ISH Academy is a place for kids who love to dance and move and want to surround themselves with like-minded people. I started young myself and had people around me who inspired me. The ISH Academy can be such a place for young people’.

Noor teaches her skills to 10-year-old Nola.

The ISH Academy is more than just a place to dance; it is a place where young people can come together, meet and share their love of creativity and dance with like-minded people. After the auditions, the talents are divided into pathways appropriate to different levels. Children aged 6 to 9 can also take part in the academy's classes. This does not require an audition. The ISH Academy is made possible in part by Elja Foundation.
